Prayers for John

My stepbrother has been diagnosed with leukemia and has been battling cancer and enduring chemotherapy treatments for the last year and a half. He is married and has two lovely, loving children.

He has been struggling with cancer for over a year and a half, but the cancer has found new ways to strike back. They are currently trying a stronger type of chemotherapy, but his immune system is shot. Several times he was running a high temp in the hospital, and they had to pack him in ice to bring his fever down. His wife remains at his side while he is in the hospital, while my stepmom has moved into their home temporarily to help out with the home and watching the children. Her presence there allows a stability to exist for the grandchildren, a source of something strong to hold onto while the confusion of their father's illness can seem most alarming.
