Dear St. Jude: Our daughter, Karen, is 46 years old. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer in March. She had 6 weeks of Chemo and Radiation and then surgery which went well. Now, it's 6 months of the Intravenous Chemo every other week that is making her so sick. She can only work 1/2 days when she feels ok. She is sick for about 6 days after the treatment. She only gets paid for the hours she works.She has 3 boys, 2 still in high school, excellent students and both in the Marching Band. Her oldest is living out of town but plans to come back in October to help his mother out. She does need monetary help as my husband and I can only do so much being on Social Security.
Pray that Karen will recover totally from this heinous disease and that we will be able to find an agency that can help pay her rent and everyday household bills or at least help with these bils.
