Kateri Tekakwitha

Almost blind, her skin marked by chicken pox, persecuted by her tribe for becoming a Christian, Kateri died at 24 years of age, but all who met her were affected by her life. Her memory stays as a model of deep faith and trust in what really pleases God.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, sometimes I feel embarrassed to profess my faith in front of my classmates. I fear they would laugh at me, or think that I am weird or a fanatic. Help me to stand, like Kateri, for what I believe. Give me the freedom and courage to confess you with my actions wherever I go. Amen.
