Our Lady of Quinché, patroness of Ecuador

According to legend, some people had commissioned an artist with making an image of Our Lady, and then were unable to pay for it. The artist gave it to the Oyacachi Indians in exchange for wood. Legend has it that Our Lady appeared to the Oyacachi promising them to protect them against every evil.

Prayer

Mary of Quinché, sometimes I feel unappreciated and unnoticed, even when I put forth my best effort. Help me to see that your love is unconditional, that you don’t look at me for what I do, but for what I am, your beloved child. Amen.
