Victoria Diez

She was a teacher in a rural area of Spain, and had great artistic talent. She devoted her time to teaching, praying, and taking care of her parents. In the Teresian Association she found a community with whom to pray, educate, and serve others. When many Catholics were persecuted in Spain in 1936, she was arrested and finally executed. Victoria Díez followed Christ until the end.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, sometimes I think holiness is not for me; it is something I cannot reach. Teach me that, in my daily life, wherever I am, I can follow you totally doing what I must to. Give me strength and heroism to bring this to its ultimate consequences. Amen.
